Business Start-up
KTI is an approved supplier to the NWDA Business Start-up project.
KTI uses known idea generation techniques to assist businesses to identify new products, processes and services.
This experience has now been translated into a methodology to assist individuals to identify business ideas that may lead to their self-employment and the creation of jobs for others.
The programme has two aims:
1 To assist individuals who would like to run their own business but have no real idea of what kind of business it may be
2 To help people who already have a business idea to improve the idea so that it has a better chance of success
People's confidence grows so that even if they do not start a business straightaway they may do so later or they may present themselves for employment in a stronger way than previously.
These workshops are offered free at the point of delivery. They focus on building self-esteem, how to identify a business that the individual could run, how to start a business and the support measures necessary to encourage start-up, sustainability and growth.
The programme equips individuals with the skills to identify and assess opportunities.
Examples of business opportunities are introduced for detailed discussion.
At the end of the programme those with ideas they wish to pursue will be offered assessment and development support through local business support agencies.
